Trickshots & Glitches

Whazzup! Urbandroid posting...

Today I would like to share with you guys some YouTube videos I've come across of insanely impossible "trickshots" and some wack glitches, enjoy!

MW3 Top 10 Trickshots
Some hilarious bugs from BF3 when it was still in beta
A montage of MW2 Trickshots
And finally a heart warming bug from Black Ops. The swiming/flying bug. The video is great and the additional music makes it so much better

That's all from me for now...
I'll be posting next week Wednesday and until then enjoy your gaming (without failing school)!

TV games are good for you

Greetings all, Urbandroid here!

Today I have a video to share with you...

Its by a group called The Kiffness and it was promoted on Mondo Media via YouTube. If anyone doesn't know who Mondo Media is they created Happy Tree Friends and if you don't know what Happy Tree Friends is I think its time you resign from the internet.

So its a animation/music video on Video Games but here's the catch, its South African!

Enjoy ;)

LAN installments (Killing floor, Supreme Commander)

Hey there everyone! TheStranger here coming to you from lovely East London! (For those of you that don't know it is a coastal city in this country) I think I was a little eager on Sunday (Last week) to think that everything would go back to normal since this has been a very unusual week. So please do forgive us if we missed a post on one of the days this week. Nightmare is also feeling a bit under the weather so I'll post in his place today.

Thecoldblade posted about a Supreme Commander match we had at the last LAN. This has kinda sparked a war between the two teams (we are all trying to prove our supremacy). So far the score is 3-3 and we can't stop discussing strategies on how to get the final game win...We have opted to make the next LAN the decider (Even though I do see this continuing indefinitely).

The way Nightmare, Thecoldblade and I see it, we have already won since in the previous match we encountered very little resistance from our competition. It seems like we have chosen the more strategic route while Ghost, Deathstrike and HighVoltage have the belief that over-whelming force is the key to victory...This next game carries bragging rights so it is definitively one to fight for. ;)

Before I forget I have also got a replay of the free-for-all we had and it is ready to upload! So if you would like to see us in action keep an eye out for my next posts where I shall provide the link.

Later this week I will (hopefully, when I've ironed out the bugs) show you how to LAN the KFpub version of the zombie survival game Killing Floor, which is a extreme load of fun. If you haven't heard of it I suggest you go do some research because this is one that will inspire you to play tactically with your buddies (and have you jumping at every loud bang while you do it.)

This is all from me for now, stay tuned to view some great content! :)

Forged Alliance at the Last LAN

Okay guys, so I am kinda running out of stuff to post about... probably because winter is coming to an end.
So I am gonna "talk" about Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. We played Forged Alliance a few times during the LAN. We made teams and they were: Nightmare, TheStranger and myself VS Ghost, Deathstrike and HighVoltage. It was my first time playing Forged Alliance and I enjoyed it a lot.

Forged Alliance is a strategy game, for those who don't know, and there are 4 races: UEF, Seraphim, Aeon and Cybran. I played as UEF since its good for beginners. The two teams played for slices of pizza on the first round, and our team won. Actually our team won 3 out 3 games.

We also had a free-for-all and all the other members attacked me first and destroyed me because I built experimentals and was ahead of the others. And TheStranger won the free-for-all although Ghost had a huge advantage... TheStranger outsmarted him.

Forged Alliance was a lot of fun to play... I was really enjoying that free-for-all but these guys just HAD to take me out (and I was a beginner).

Well that's all from me today.

Review: Spec Ops The Line

Hey everyone it's DeathStrike and I'll be giving my review and opinion on the 3rd person shooter, Spec Ops The Line. This Game is made by 2K Games and is based in war-torn wasteland of Dubai, Dubai has beeen torn by vicious sandstorms and then a mini civil-war when a battalion came in and tried to rescue survivors and ended up turning on themselves.

You are a soldier sent in when your 3 man crew to locate and determine what happened to the battalion, what you find is shocking...

Story:

I think the story has an interesting twist from your normal shooter games. Your objective is constantly changing as you try to determine whose side you're on, you are also faced with several choices throughout the game that determine who you will fight for.

Story: 9/10

Graphics:

The graphics for this game were done really well, you can really see the torn and broken Dubai landscape and it looks fantastic (not in a sadistic way) the lighting is also really well done.

Graphics : 8/10

Gameplay:

You have standard WASD controls in this game. I think the cover mechanism in this game is also done really well you can have blind fire or risk being shot by coming out of cover, there is quick change between close cover positions and if you are being suppressed you can slide into cover. One annoying, though realistic, aspect of this game is ammo, you never have enough ammo... ever! But I suppose in war torn Dubai ammo is scarce, so make sure to stock up at every opportunity.

Gameplay : 8/10

User-Friendliness:

User-friendliness is pretty good in this game, no confusing menus or anything the one thing that took me some getting used to was the 3rd person, I'm not a big 3rd person player, so playing from that view was slightly strange but manageable none the less.

User-Friendliness: 8/10

Misc

There are a few extra things that really make this game worth playing, just like being able to shoot out a glass window and drown your enemies in sand, its just the little things

Misc: 8/10

The Verdict:

Overall I think its a great game, if you can get over the 3rd person and start playing its really enjoyable and quite an interesting story I encourage any shooter enthusiast to give it a shot (pun intended)

I give this game 87%

Slender

Slender Game Review

Hello Little Red Riding Hood...

Hey guys, HighVoltage here, I'm going to do my first game review here on Hazardous LAN! The first game I'll be doing is and indie game which means that it was made from scratch by a bunch of devs probably in less than a year and released by themselves. Kinda the same thing as Minecraft but for Minecraft you need to have a paid account to play online on official servers.(Pain in the ass for everyone in Hazardous except for TheStranger and Urbandroid ) You are just too stingy -__- TS.

To the review!!

Story

One of the pages you have to collect before he catches you...
You start the game with a single objective. Collect all 8 notes before the Slenderman gets to you and kills you. The only thing that you are able to do to get away from him is to run. Run as fast as you can, because if you stare at him for too long, you WILL go insane and the game ends.

Story: 6/10

Graphics

Oh, didn't see you there...

The graphics of Slender aren't so amazing, but it does add to the effect of the game because there is a  fog that increases as you get more notes, the screen starts doing the things that TVs do when they don't have any signal but its an overlay so you can still see whats going on in the game.

Graphics: 5/10

Gameplay

This is your typical FPS-type game, using the WASD controls to move, Q&E are used to zoom in and out, not that you'd ever want to though.  The only thing that relates this game to other FPS titles is the use of a flash light, which may or may not come in handy in certain circumstances

Gameplay: 7/10

User-Friendliness

Take me where?

This game shouldn't be available to minors to play and I'm being serious. This could really scar someone for life. Like I said earlier, this is an indie game so there still may be a few bugs in it, such as the "Daylight Mode" which has no objectives and it's the same map as you play when you start the game. One complaint I have is that you are unable to save your progress, even if you press ESC you're taken to the main menu and have to start the game from scratch. How sure are you that it wasn't designed to be like that?

User-Friendliness: 4/10

Misc.

I am SPIDERMAN!!

The only selling point of this game as far I can see is the fact that it makes you crap your pants every, single time you see the Slenderman, there's really not much else to do in the game except for looking for the 8 pages. There are hidden game modes but I haven't had the courage to try figure out what they are.

Misc: 6/10

The Verdict..

Slender is one of the most scariest games I've played in my life, it's so bad that I keep thinking when the Slenderman will get me whenever I go out at night. It's an enjoyable experience for those who like these type of games, but otherwise, if you don't play horror games at all, and this is your first one, prepare yourself for the worst... If you want to get this game, you can go here for more information about it. I wouldn't recommend just anyone to play it though.

I give this game a 56% (Ahem...we need to discuss this. TS)

Don't play if you don't wanna crap your pants...

Minecraft 1.3 hardcore!

Hey everybody. Phew...this week has been quite a hectic one, we here at Hazardous have had three birthdays: Ghost was on the 3rd, Urbandroid on the 8th and Nightmare on the 9th so that explains some of the posts being MIA this week...but not to worry! Things have gone back to normal and will resume as planned.

Now then back to what I had to say...Not too long ago I said I would provide some Minecraft 1.3 information for you folks so how I'm going to start that is by telling you about probably one of the best MC pvp servers (definitely my favourite at the moment ). It is hosted by a website called mcpvp.com, it is a hardcore pvp server with some really awesome server-side addons to make the game more interesting.

First they have no white-list! (Come on, you know white-lists suck ;). They also have a very unique (and sometimes annoying) kick-on-death feature for those who haven't donated to their site, basically if you die in any way, you get kicked from the server for one minute (it makes surviving more beneficial.) Bringing an extra card in to play are trackers, pretty much it involves you building an obsidian cross with gold blocks at the end and a diamond block in the middle that allows you to tack the location of any and all players in your vicinity.

Other features involve economy, factions, capturing mobs with chicken eggs and many more. This server is true pvp and it can get really hard to stay alive. So if you want to check it out head over to www.minecraftpvp.com

PS: They also have hunger games and Capture the flag servers, it's an insane amount of fun so go try it! :)

Like always comment, or send me an email at TheStrangerHazardous@gmail.com and if you see me in-game say hi! :)

PPS: We recorded some more vids at our last LAN so hopefully we can publish those soon.

Rainbow six Vegas 2 at a LAN

Morning gamers,

Rainbow six Vegas 2 is one of the games that we play at a LAN almost every time, but we usually only play for an hour until we rage quit. I have no doubt that this is one of the FPS that you die the most, and you blame it on a bug where you got shot with a spas 12 from 50m away.

That's gives the game its hardest difficulty called Realistic, and it lives up to it. It is super realistic and that's why we love it and hate it. This game is made for coop, before I finished the single player I was already playing coop terrorist hunts. And with that I got to the elite rank over the holidays and so did the people who used trainers (Nightmare).

The versus is also awesome because it is mostly about strategy and not just to get a LMG to spray and pray, but you will always find people grenade spamming as soon as they spawn. But I don't think the 3rd person with this game is viable to qualify as a great multiplayer.

The LAN option worked perfectly offline and we did not need to replace the exe with anything, it worked offline LAN perfectly. Everyone cant wait for a LAN fix to be made for the new ghost recon because it is a better version of this.

Minecraft 1.3.1 and more!!!

Hey whats up everyone!!!! Its the long weekend!!!!!! (in South Africa anyway :P) Right so I'd just like to say Happy Birthday to Ghost, Urbandroid and NightMare! So because of the amazing long weekend we here at HAZ have decided to have a LAN and hopefully we will be uploading amazing footage of our LAN! Watch this space :D

Right so 1.3.1 was released recently and it is..... AMAZING!!!! It is beautiful some new added features, you can check these out in TheStrangers post. We are still waiting for most our mods to update so we can reinstall them but in the mean time Vanilla MC is still amazing...

Right so I have something for you guys... Lets face it, most of us don''t have premium MC account with a few exceptions *cough* TheStranger *cough* and I'm sure once in a while Steve's skin gets a little boring and you would like to have some change... But you can't cause you don't have a premium account? Wrong! this is how you can do it without a premium account.

Go to a site like http://www.minecraftskins.com/ and download the skin you want. Then rename the skin you have downloaded to 'char' and go to you .minecraft file and go to your bin and open your minecraft jar. Then go to the file called mobs and paste your new skin in that folder and overwrite the existing one, and then you will have an updated skin!

Games

Hey guys, how's it CHILLING?
Today I am gonna tell you about two massively multiplayer games that I have been playing, which are a lot of fun and really cool.
Okay the first on is called "CROSSFIRE" and this is a massively multiplayer FPS.

This game is very competitive. You earn money for kills and you can use this money to buy weapons and accessories. There is a range of characters that you can choose from such as SWAT or SAS and there are two factions that you can join. There is a wide variety of game modes and there are three really cool game modes which are: Zombies, Mutation and Ghost.
This game can be downloaded for free from its website and its not very big. I was, at one stage addicted to this game. The graphics are not that great but the gameplay is really good. Play it and see for yourself, you WILL enjoy it. I don't wanna over sell it either... so just play it.

The next game is called "The LOST SAGA". This is a game full of action and honestly, one of the best free multiplayer games I have ever played. There are a lot of characters in this game such as, The reaper, shadow assassin, cowboy, berserker, robin hood, space trooper and so much more. Heroes from Myth, Legend, Fantasy and Sci-Fi unite in this game!

You can have as many characters as you want at the same time and you may switch them anytime IN THE MIDDLE OF A BATTLE. So you can coordinate and fight your battles in any combination that you want. Each character has different skills and you may upgrade their stats and skills.
This game is really awesome, and its free, so try it out. There is also a lot of game modes. I don't want to spoil most of the features in this game, so try it out for yourself.

That's it from me this week... I know this is a short post, but I am low on time here.
Stay tuned,

Yesterday was the day...

Edit: Ahem before you read this just keep in mind that I intended to post this on Thursday the 2nd of August so it might seem a little out of place but it isn't really :p
The open fields...The peaceful mountains...The tranquil seas...ahh this is paradise, who would have thought that paradise is made up of cubes. Yes friends, for those of you that don't know or haven't experienced the amazing creation that is Minecraft, you now have a whole better reason to.

Yesterday the next great stage everyone has been waiting for (Minecraft 1.3!) was released upon the world and what I can say? It's amazing, with all new features to improve your cuboid castle or floating stronghold. If you would like to see the full changelog you can go here cause it would really take up this whole post if I were to put it up :p (yes it is that extensive ;). To celebrate this new release the next few posts this week will be exploring new features of 1.3 so stay tuned for that but for now you can watch this :)

In other news we are starting an IRC channel so those of you that use IRC can talk to us in real-time! I am still working on it though but I SHOULD be able to get it ready by the end of this week.

Any comments or suggestions email me at TheStrangerHazardous@gmail.com

Happy mining,

Where to get LAN fixes

This post will tell 3 different ways and places that you can get LAN fixes, real offline lan fixes.
TeknoGods

The first and best way is to go to the website that keeps on giving constant LAN fixes and you get the power by being able to vote for which game you want the lan fix to be made for next, here is the link to the website www.teknogods.com/ . Hazardous has been using his stuff to LAN for a very long time. The only problem with it is that you have to have the original game for most of the fixes, but that can be fixed by just replacing the cracked exe with the original one.

The second place I look for a crack is on the VPN network site called tunngle, all the games that don't use smart steam or green Luna will work offline with LAN the ones that do you will need an active internet connection. They usually just have an exe that you just have to replace so it is pretty easy.

The last and most obvious way is to just Google the games name and add the words offline LAN fix, the problem with this is that there are lots of people who make fake fixes that end up in them wanting you to enter a password to a zip or a website wanting you to do a survey.

These places are keeping LAN alive while more and more companies (EA) are releasing their games with no LAN options.

Ghost signing out.

Intel vs AMD

Right so I'm going to assume everyone reading this has some basic knowledge and understanding of CPUs.

When choosing components for your new PC among the most crucial is the CPU or Processor. This is the actual "brain" of your PC so to speak, there are many things to consider when choosing a CPU for your PC.

One of the first things that come to mind when narrowing down the options between Intel and AMD is price.

AMD is famously well priced for the amount of power you're getting, Intel however is more highly priced, this comes down to the barebones of the processor, so its core architecture, multi-cores etc.

AMDs latest core architecture is called Trinity however you're more likely to have Bulldozer. Intels latest core architecture is called Ivy-Bridge however its more likely that you're processor would have Sandy-Bridge.

When it comes down to core architecture Intel is the winner hands down, AMD is notorious for having messy core-architecture. Intel however is well known to have a clean and structured architecture. But its quite likely that you won't be basing your choice highly on the core architecture.

So power, power is a relatively redundant argument in terms of these two companies, they will constantly be matching each other in power and no matter which you choose sooner or later the other company will match or better that. But power is not always what it appears to be, you can have a CPU advertising 3.7ghz which sounds awesome, but what if that's stuck in a single core processor, its pretty lame. That's where all these terms or Dual-Core, Quad-Core and in HighVoltages case a Tri-Core :P These are CPUs that have multiple cores (duh!) Which allow the CPU to do and handle more requests that you give it.

Currently AMD has the CPU with the most cores, 16 of them, but I doubt this will factor into your choice as its really, really, really expensive.

So basically both companies have pros and cons, many more than are just discussed here, and I feel it really comes down to personal preference and budget. If you're building a new PC, do some research and really know what you're getting before you get it.
